On the home screen, press and hold the lock in the bottom corner for 3 seconds, then answer the grown-up question (for example "What is 7 × 4?") on the number pad. A quick tap does nothing, and a wrong answer just shows a new question, so little ones won't get in by accident.

Turn on hands-free in the parent settings and the Learn flashcards move on to the next card by themselves, so your child can simply watch and listen. You can choose how quickly the cards advance, and your child can still tap or swipe at any time.

In the parent settings, turn on Slower voice for a gentler pace, or switch Sound off for quiet play.

Tap Find it on the home screen, then pick a set: ABC, Animals, Fruits, Vehicles, Vegetables, Sea animals, Bugs, Yummy food, Clothes, Toys or Nature. Each game has 5 rounds with stars at the end.

• Covering most of the letter (about 60% or more) counts as done, so it doesn't have to be perfect.
• Tap Clear to start the letter again.
